Welcome to the River Rat Yacht Club

(RRYC) site.  We are a group of social

sailors and power boaters who came

together as a formal club in 1978.  In the

Cruising Guide to Coastal North Carolina,

Claiborne Young refers to us as "the

friendly River Rat Yacht Club."  Our marina

is located on Jordan Creek, approximately

10 miles south of Belhaven, North Carolina,

by land, and 6 miles south by water - near

ICW mile mark 140 on the Pungo River.

Regional sailing ports of call include

Ocracoke Island, Bath, Washington,
Broad Creek, Oriental, Adams Creek,
Beaufort and Cape Lookout to name a few.  
When in the area, hail us on Channel
16 or give us a phone call at 252-964-6100.

If we hear you, we will give you

directions to get into the creek.
